LOCAL EMPLOYMENT

At Teqton, we use local employment from the areas where our jointless concrete floor products are established.

Teqton is dedicated to reducing CO2 emissions and creating sustainable solutions. Over the past two years, we have been working on establishing LCA and EPD for Teqton's products. This effort underscores the green focus that permeates every facet of our business, from the specific product to the construction process and the often-overlooked operational elements that are seamlessly integrated into the process.

As part of these values, we at Teqton also align our efforts with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, with a particular emphasis on 8 and 9, which centers on promoting local employment.

Here are a couple of examples of what we do:

THE PRODUCTS THEMSELVES

Our Teqplan system floor is a strong and sustainable flooring product in itself. This is partly because we do not use reinforcement in our solutions but instead produce a concrete mixture with the right elements to ensure a jointless and durable flooring solution.

To minimize costs and environmental impact, materials for the floors are sourced from local gravel pits close to construction sites and transported by local truck drivers.

THE CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

Our jointless concrete floors are produced and delivered all over Denmark and Scandinavia.

The high demands for efficient use of resources and the short distances of materials to construction sites apply in all countries and construction projects. Therefore, local businesses we collaborate with in the areas where we build and procure materials also benefit.

The employees who service our machines urgently or assist in the construction process are always from the local area where we are establishing new concrete floors from Teqton.

OPERATIONAL ELEMENTS

At our headquarters in Fuglebjerg, we also do our part to promote local employment. Teqton's machines, like any others, require maintenance and servicing. This is done by our local partners, including an authorized electrician from Eltran ApS and mechanics from Kyse Smedie- og Maskinværksted.

These professionals also occasionally visit our sites to service and repair machines and equipment when needed.

In the picture, you can see our electrician, René, from Eltran here in Fuglebjerg, and to the right is Morten from Kyse Auto og Maskinværksted.
