In today's society, the importance of ”green” aspects is crucial when planning projects. Certifications and regulations help guide customers toward more economical and environmentally friendly solutions.
Teqton has participated in several DGNB and BREEAM certified projects in recent years. Certifications like DGNB, BREEAM, and LEED are among the most commonly used in Europe and Scandinavia and are considered a natural part of most projects.
A certified project places significant demands not only on the general and main contractors but also on all subcontractors who handle their respective parts of the construction process.
As leading in our industry, Teqton adheres to the highest standards in how we manage and operate our business. We also strive to set an example, both in our own projects and as part of the industry.
GET THE CERTIFICATIONS
At Teqton, we offer our customers a LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) or third-party verification EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) for projects, even before they leave the drawing board.
This way, we ensure greener and more sustainable projects.
ENVIRONMENTAL DECLARATION OF GOODS
When consultants and contractors seek a certification, there are several aspects that are examined, and expectations that subcontractors like us are capable of managing.
Here are some of the things we do at Teqton:
- We ensure thorough waste sorting to guarantee that everything that can be recycled is reused.
- We report waste quantities.
- We are conscious of our consumption of fuel and electricity and do our best to reduce our usage.
- We use few or no REACH products, which are products containing dangerous and/or toxic substances.
- EPD – Environmental Product Declaration
Teqton has a high score for our carbon footprint compared to similar products. Our carbon footprint is 30% lower than the industry average. One contributing factor to this is the absence of iron reinforcement in our floors.
